FOXES DRAW ON EXPERIENCE

Coniston 0 Vs Fernhill 0

On a pleasant evening at JJ Kelly Park the Foxes fought out an admirable draw and although the game was scoreless there were opportunities at both ends to put each team on the score sheet.

Overall the visitors a had a good percentage of the play and with the midfield of Paine, Pfrengle, Krstevski and Lawrence the Foxes started well with Krstevski finding plenty of space wide left causing the Lions defence concerns with his energetic runs and creating good opportunities for Sam Gordon and Monte Pfrengle to put the Foxes on the score sheet early.

Fernhill 2 vs Coniston 1

The Fernhill Fox’s travelled to JJ Kelly Park for a Friday night Youth Grade show down with the Coniston Lions. Playing away from home, still missing valuable players and coming of a loss, the fox’s spirit was going to be too much for the Lions in the end.

The first half saw the both teams start of strong, with a few chances missed at either end We were unfortunate to lose Adrion Djukic through injury early on, but his replacement having his second game in 2 weeks Cooper Brindle (a dual registered player from the juniors) was not about to let anyone down, and he didn’t playing strong all match.

Fernhill 2 Vs Picton 1

Keil and Andy keep the Foxes in the Hunt

A tradesman like game from the Foxes allowed them to secure their first win of the season against a much competitive Picton outfit at home. The game did not start well for the home side as keeper Keil Zerner made two important saves early, but could not deny Picton’s first as J.Morley took advantage of the Foxes nervous start to put visitors in front in the 5th min.
